Vegas Hotel Alleged Bomber’s Family Speaks Out

Collin Rugg: He loved Trump, and he was always a very, very patriotic soldier, a patriotic American

Matt was a very skilled warrior

he would’ve been able to make a more sophisticated explosive

could have fashioned a bomb that would have obliterated half of that hotel if he seriously wanted to hurt others

Opinion: This incident doesn’t make sense to me. I 100% agree that if he were trying to conduct a terrorist attack, he had the skills necessary to do significant damage. What he used was amateur hour, so it begs the question…did he do it, or was it coercion? Maybe suicide. Unfortunately, I believe we have more questions than answers at this point. This guy deserves the benefit of the doubt as the investigation continues.

Vegas Cybertruck Alleged Bomber Identified

Matthew Livelsberger, a 37 year old Colorado resident and active Duty U.S. Army Solder has been identified as the Cybertruck bomber.

NY Post: worked in special forces overseeing drone operations and maintenance

last stationed at Camp Panzer Kaserne just southwest of Stuttgart, Germany

He previously served from 2015 to 2023 as a special forces intelligence and operations specialist

Opinion: So we have two U.S. Army vets carrying out separate and unrelated attacks on the same day. The one in Vegas looking like a complete amateur job, which makes me wonder if this one was more of an attempt to commit suicide and get a bunch of attention while doing so.

9/11 Attackers Plea Deals Back On

Fox News: A military appeals court has ruled against Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s effort to throw out the plea deals reached for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and two other defendants in the 9/11 attacks

The three men plead guilty…in exchange for being spared the possibility of the death penalty

Supporters of the plea agreements see them as a way of resolving the legally troubled case

Focus of pretrial arguments has been on how torture of the men while in CIA custody…may taint the overall evidence

Opinion: How are these guys still alive!?!? I’m all for a free trial, but damn. Credit to SecDef for trying to throw out the plea deal.

U.S. Military Hits Houthi Targets in Yemen

NYPost: The US military fired multiple strikes against the Houthi rebels in Yemen

Navy ships and aircraft targeted Houthi command posts and weapons depots

US Navy and Air Force aircraft also destroyed a Houthi coastal radar site and seven cruise missiles

The rebels have repeatedly attacked cargo and tanker ships traveling through the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden

Chinese Hackers Accessed U.S. Treasury Systems

PCMag: “A China-backed threat actor accessed workstations and unclassified documents of US Treasury Department employees”

“Treasury said it was notified of the cyberattack on Dec. 8 by BeyondTrust, a third-party software service provider”

Hackers stole a security key, which they used to access some user workstations, some of which had sensitive but unclassified documents.

Opinion: This sounds like the blast radius is small. I’d be very concerned If they gained access to backend databases or applications. Access to Suzie’s cat pictures and some working documents…meh. Still, a big deal they got hacked, but it’s a good opportunity for the Treasury to learn.

Trump Slams Past Debt Ceiling Deal Amid Speaker Election

Trump criticized the decision by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy to extend the debt ceiling to June, calling it “one of the dumbest political decisions made in years.”

“NOTHING WAS GAINED, and we got nothing for it – A major reason why that Speakership was lost.”

“The Democrats must be forced to take a vote on this treacherous issue NOW”

Opinion: Lawmakers will elect a new speaker on Friday, Jan 3rd, and we are projected to hit our debt limit within just a few weeks. Trump is publicly pushing for strong leadership from the House. I think Mike Johnson is the right guy for the job.

President Jimmy Carter Passes Away

Trump: The challenges Jimmy faced as President came at a pivotal time for our country and he did everything in his power to improve the lives of all Americans...Melania and I are thinking warmly of the Carter Family and their loved ones during this difficult time. We urge everyone to keep them in their hearts and prayers.

Biden: He was a man of great character and courage, hope and optimism. We will always cherish seeing him and Rosalynn together.

Jimmy Carter was our 39th President and lived to be 100. No matter your political affiliation, it is a sad day in our history to see the passing of a President.

The Left is Mounting Their Defense Against Proving Citizenship to Vote

More than 30 news outlets recently published articles highlighting the issues Kansas faced over a decade ago when requiring voters to prove citizenship when registering.

Headlines:

“Kansas once required voters to provide citizenship. That didn’t work out so well”

“When a Kansas law forced voters to prove citizenship, a fiasco followed”

They are priming the pump, preparing to fight against a national voter ID law. A Gallup poll from October showed that 84% of us support requiring photo ID to vote, and 83% favor proof of citizenship when registering.

Maybe Kansas screwed up the execution of its law over a decade ago, but we can learn from it and do a better job this time around.

Civilians Are Fed Up With Crime in NYC – Guardian Angels Stepping Up!

“Citizens won’t do that because unfortunately, the Daniel Penny effect has frozen them”

Opinion: This is awesome to see, but so long as we have massively leftist prosecutors in office, we are going to see more “good samaritans” prosecuted for stopping crime. Things are slowly turning back to normal.

NYC Shift Right Breakdown

NYPost: Voters in all five boroughs, as well as suburban counties in Long Island and the lower Hudson Valley shifted toward Trump…double-digit improvements in the boroughs, including Manhattan, and key suburban counties such as Nassau and Rockland.

The Bronx and Queens counties saw the biggest increase in Republican voting in all of New York state.

Opinion: We already knew there was a massive swing, but this is a good reminder as we approach confirmation hearings for Trump’s new appointees. The people voted for Trump and what he stood for, now let him operate!

Border Wall Sales Officially Prohibited

Trump: A Federal Judge in Texas, based on papers we filed just a few days ago, has PROHIBITED the Biden Administration from selling any materials designated for the Border Wall.

The Judge has also ordered an investigation into the illegal selling of the materials.

Opinion: It is sad that our tax dollars are being wasted to force the Biden administration to “do the right thing”.

Trump Appeals to Supreme Court to Delay TikTok Ban, Seeks Political Resolution

BBC: Trump has asked the US Supreme Court to delay an upcoming TikTok ban while he works on a “political resolution”.

His lawyer filed a legal brief on Friday with the court that says Trump “opposes banning TikTok” and “seeks the ability to resolve the issues at hand through political means once he takes office”.

The court will hear arguments on January 10th, and the current deadline January 19th for TikTok to be sold to a U.S. owned company or be banned.

Trump Transition Approval Rating Better Than 2016

Gallup: More Americans approve (51%) than disapprove (44%) of the way Donald Trump is handling his presidential transition.

Compared with 2016, Trump’s improved ratings this year are primarily due to more positive ratings among Republicans. Ninety-seven percent of Republicans approve of the way he is handling his transition, compared with 86% in December 2016.

Mexico Planning Alert App For Illegals Facing Deportation

Newsmax: Mexico will launch a mobile application with an alert button for migrants facing imminent detention.

The app, which is expected to be ready in January, will also notify the person’s family and the Mexican foreign ministry.

Opinion: If the app will alert family members, I imagine illegals will need to sign up and share personal information. Sounds like a honeypot.
